3 people were killed and several injured in a major crane accident that happened at Kamal Haasan and Shankar's Indian 2 shoot spot. The accident took place in EVP Film City where the shoot is currently taking place. The time is stipulated around 9:30pm yesterday. The injured people are still under observation in the hospital.

Shankar directed Indian 2 features Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, and Rakul Preet Singh in important roles. Indian 2 features cinematography by R. Rathnavelu while Anirudh composes music for the film. The movie is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
