Gautham Karthik’s latest release is Indrajith directed by KalaaPrabu of Sakkarakatti fame. The movie is an adventure fantasy thriller. KalaaPrabu’s previous film had music by AR Rahman, and in an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, he talks about the experience with the Taxi Taxi composer and the hardships he faced for Indrajith:

“Rahman sir is more than anything for me. I am his Bhakthan and he is my guru. In fact, he told me that after Mustafa Mustafa, the Taxi Taxi song will be a big success and it happened as he said. Kids who were in 7th and 8th grade then, who have now probably completed college still cant forget it and love the number. That is the magic of AR Rahman sir.

The major hardship we faced during the making of Indrajith is that, most of the major sequences had CG work and this worked only through trial and error for us. We had to erect a 3 kilometre long set for a particular scene. A particular shot in the climax, which is 2 minutes long with no cuts, had to be worked on for 15 months. It was a nice but difficult journey.”
