Kamal Haasan starrer, Kakki Chattai, which was released in 1985 is being readied for a re-release this year. Like any other re-release, Kakki Chattai has been digitally restored with 5.1 DTS format by Darwin Pictures.

This Rajasekhar directorial was produced by Sathya Movies, and the music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Kakki Chattai is planned to release all over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Overseas in March 2018.
