This past week, it has been raining Chekka Chivantha Vaanam on social media. It started off with the character name and first look poster release campaign, and it carries on!
First it was revealed that Arvind Swami would be playing Varadan, Arun Vijay as Thyagu, Vijay Sethupathi as Rasool and then STR was revealed to be playing a character called Ethi.
Later, a full poster inclusive of all these characters was released. Now, it is the turn of the leading ladies to enter the social media space with their posters. Dayana Erappa was announced to be playing Chaaya and as STR's pair.
Today's announcement is for Jyothika's character. She plays Chitra, and as Arvind Swami's pair. The first look has been released and it looks as though they are seated in a bus. Yet another iconic Mani Ratnam bus scene incoming!

Jyothika had recently wrapped up the shooting of Kaatrin Mozhi, her next film, directed by Radhamohan and produced by Dhananjayan. The film is currently in its dubbing stages with other post-production works also progressing simultaneously.
The latest official update now is that the first look poster of Kaatrin Mozhi will be released tomorrow (August 15), morning at 6 AM by Jyothika's husband and actor Suriya through his official social media handle. Producer Dhananjayan took to Twitter to announce this news - "#IndependenceDay2018 special #KaatrinMozhiFirstLook to be unveiled by @Suriya_offl sir tomorrow morning. The first look has a connection with the important day for our nation. Do check out tomorrow morning friends 🙏🙏🙏".
An official remake of Vidya Balan's Tumhari Sulu, Kaatrin Mozhi also features Vidhaarth, Lakshmi Manchu, M.S.Bhaskar, and Elango Kumaravel in its cast.
