Vairamuthu attended the audio launch of Traffic Ramasamy, an upcoming biographical film staring S.A Chandrasekhar playing the lead. In his speech at the launch, he spoke about his fondness over S.A Chandrashekar and the relationship the two share.
 

"I have always been very fond of S.A Chandrasekhar. We don't get a lot of opportunities to meet each other and interact but, we have worked together in a quite a few films. I know he has always had a love towards my writing and likes me as a person. I have personally realized that a lot.

The first time I realized it was in his son Vijay's wedding. Chandrasekhar could have called anyone on stage to watch the ceremony but, he invited only 2 people and I was one of them. I realized how much he likes me at that moment. This film has underlined a very important social message and I hope it receives all the respect it deserves"
