Manju Warrier and Rosshan Andrrews are teaming up again after five years. This time, they have worked together for ‘Prathi Poovan Kozhi’, after their first movie — ‘How Old Are You’. The movie will also make the debut of Rosshan as an actor. A glimpse of the director as an actor was revealed recently in a poster of ‘Prathi Poovan Kozhi, released by Mammootty via his Facebook page.
The buzz about the project was already there, as the title of the movie was similar to that of a novel of Unni R. But later Rosshan clarified that, the movie has a different story and had nothing to do with the novel. Interestingly, the movie is also penned by Unni R. On Sunday, the trailer of the movie was launched by Dulquar Salman via his Facebook page.
The trailer has thrilling moments of Manju Warrier, who works as a saleswoman in a textile shop. Anusree also joins Manju in the cast as another saleswoman. The trailer starts with Manju’s character saying that “I am scared too… but I can’t sit on that’ — giving an indication that the central character is in search of something very particular, which is the highlight of the movie. Manju’s role is expected to be a strong one after her terrific performance in Tamil movie ‘Asuran’ opposite Dhanush, which became a blockbuster.
A shot of Rosshan was also shown in the intriguing trailer, which makes sure that, the director has a strong role in the movie. Alencier, Saiju Kurup, Anusree are the other actors in the movie. A song of the movie with an essence of folk music was released last week. The music department is handled by Gopi Sundar. The film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan and it will be released on December 20.
