The major crane accident that took place in the sets of Shankar's Indian 2 has claimed the lives of three crew members, which include the film's assistant director Krishna, art assistant Chandran and production assistant Madhu.
With the injured crew members currently being treated at the hospital, the Chennai City Police is probing the incident. When Behindwoods contacted Nazarethpet police station, the officials said that the bodies of the three deceased is currently kept at Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for carrying out post-mortem and other formalities.
It is said that the crane operator Rajan has been absconding and the case is currently being investigated by the Nazarethpet Police Station. It must be noted that the accident was caused by a 150-foot long crane that fell down on the sets. A separate investigation team is currently situated at the hospital.
