"Among all the political leaders, Karunanidhi was the last political leader. In the field of cinema, he was someone who gave us brilliant dialogues in pure Tamil. We can even call him the last screenplay-dialogue writer of Tamil cinema. "

He further added: "Be it Politics, Art, Literature, Cinema, Tamizh, he stood tall in all the fields he stepped into. This is such an irreparable loss. Irreparable as in the truest meaning of the word. That is how heavy this loss is, for us. "

Ilayaraja is currently has more than 10 films in his kitty. Fondly called as 'Maestro', Ilayaraja has composed for more than 1000 films till date.
