After receiving his fifth national award, Mohanlal said that he is committed to his fans to do good movies and deliver excellent performances.
About the growing expectation and enthusiasm among his fans regarding a Mohanlal film, he said, "It is my commitment to them. I should give them good films with good performances. They believe in me, and I believe in them".
When asked about a particular role which he is looking forward to do in future he said that he is a person who believes in happenings and is waiting for every character that comes to him. The legendary actor, who has been nominated many times, got a standing ovation from the crowd when he walked towards the honorable President of India to collect his award.
