After actor Rahul Bose's claim that Rs 442 was charged for two bananas from a luxury hotel in Chandigarh, another Bollywood celebrity has voiced a similar concern. Music composer Shekhar Ravjiani of the famous Vishal-Shekhar duo on Friday took to Twitter, claiming that a luxury hotel in Ahmedabad charged him an “eggxorbitant" Rs 1,672 for three boiled eggs.
The composer shared a photograph of the bill, issued on November 14. As per the bill, the price of three boiled eggs was Rs 1,350. The service charge was Rs 67.50 and state GST and Central GST accounted for Rs 127.58 each.
In July, actor Rahul Bose had shared a similar protest in which he posted a clip on Twitter when he had to pay Rs 442 for two bananas at a luxury hotel in Chandigarh.
But some netizens were not impressed with the post as they asked the music composer on the choice of his hotel. Some said, there was no need for Sekhar to post the bill in social media and get attention. Some defended the hotel for the quality of services and ambience.
