It was earlier reported that an appeal was filed on behalf of Lyca Productions, seeking an injunction, restraining director Shankar from directing other films without completing the shooting of Indian 2.
Today probably came the final judgement where the honourable justice N. Satishkumar dismissed applications OA.NOS.211 & 212 filed by LYCA against Shankar restraining him from directing the new movie committed with actor Ram Charan till Indian 2 is completed.
The Hon'ble judge dismissed all the applications including the application to furnish security filed by LYCA. Hopefully, now Shankar will resume his works with Ram Charan and Ranveer Singh (Anniyan Hindi remake).
For the unversed, Indian 2 is the sequel to Shankar and Kamal Haasan's 1996 blockbuster, Indian. The film went on floors in 2020 and was temporarily stalled after a crane accident on the sets killed 3 people. Later, due to the Coronavirus lockdown, the film's shooting had been further delayed.
