2.0 is an upcoming film directed by Shankar, that has Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. Akshay Kumar has also played a very crucial role.  The movie is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and is made at a budget of 75 Million US Dollars, making it one of the biggest films this year. The team is planning to release the movie on 29th November, this year. 

They have also planned to release the teaser of the film on 13th September, and here is how a few theatres like GK Cinemas, Porur, are organising things. They will distribute 3-D Glasses free of cost while entering the theatre. During the interval of Sivakarthikeyan starrer Seemaraja, the teaser will be screened in 3-D. Once the movie gets over, the 3-D glasses should be handed over to the Theatre authorities.

2.0, being the most expensive film in India, has a very strong technical team. AR Rahman handles the music department, while ace cinematographer Nirav Shah is the cinematographer. Anthony is the editor. This is a sequel of 2010 blockbuster Enthiran, that had Aishwarya Rai opposite Rajinikanth.
