Music composer Harris Jayaraj, who is known for his melodious music and also for the western adaptation into Tamil film music celebrates his birthday today (January 8).

Harris debuted with Gautham Menon’s Minnale and made a strong mark in this very first venture. At a time when not many music directors used a lot of western beats, Harris implemented this into our own film music and did this convincingly well. His combination with director Gautham Menon is something special as all their films had some beautiful songs and added to the success of the films. Varanam Aayiram’s music is still super special for many fans.

Harris has dominated with the use of guitars and pianos and has turned out to be one of the best musicians that churn out nectar every now and then. He can be termed as a gift for the 21st century Tamil film lovers as he has mesmerized many with the soulful music that he has managed to give. He has also collaborated with top film directors like Shankar and AR Murugadoss in projects like Ghajini, Anniyan, Nanban and the recent release Spyder. His next film release is Dhruva Natchathiram with actor Vikram and we are eagerly looking forward to hearing this album too. He has a variety of films in his kitty. From out and out love stories like Varanam Aayiram and Minnale to some mass music in Anniyan, Nanban and Ghajini, he seems to have a lot to offer.
