Gerard Butler is a Scottish actor and producer, who has played the lead role in various films like 300, The Bounty Hunter, etc., His house was partly destroyed in the recent fire in California, USA.
Following this disaster, the actor took to Twitter to seek support from the internet fraternity, in order to rebuild the homes of the victims.
He Tweeted: "Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating. Heartbreaking time across California. Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters. Thank you @LAFD. If you can, support these brave men and women at supportLAFD.org ."
"Driving around Point Dume on Saturday. My heart aches for all those who lost their homes and their lives in California. I was one of the lucky ones, my home was only partially destroyed. A lot of people lost everything and will have to rebuild from scratch.

Apart from Gerard's house, there were other celebrities' houses like Miley Cyrus' that was damaged by the wildfire. Thousands of people are also homeless.
