Its a Karthik composition, something we aren't used to as much as his captivating voice rendering great melodies. But a couple of years ago when the "Ondraga Originals" released a set of 3 singles, Karthik's compositional skills came to light.
Shashaa Tirupati does here what only some accomplished singers can easily do, and that is elevating a simple melody into something more pleasing to the ears. Her singing is absolutely spot-on even when she reaches her falsetto voice.
The interludes are worthy of mention here with the lovely guitar solo the first time and the skilful violin solo transporting us into the serene lands of Ireland and Scotland the second time.
The lyrics are a huge element that add fun and frolic to this number. It’s not a very easy task to write in both tamil and English without making it tongue-twisting. Vignesh Shivan is a true all rounder and he excels here.
Sayee Rakshit who is this teenage violinist absolutely captivated me with his solo. I first heard about him when he played for Staccato in Their recent album “Elay”. Vijay Joseph lets his fingers sizzle in the first interlude playing the acoustic guitars
Karthik later enters the fray and does his bit and probably allocates a much lesser portion to himself being the composer. The heart and soul of the song is Shashaa without doubt and she rightfully sings it till the end. I wish the credits displayed the names of the guitar and violin players at-least considering they were so wonderful.
