Actor Pawan Kalyan was last seen in the courtroom drama 'Vakeel Saab', which was the remake of the Bollywood movie 'Pink' that starred Superstar Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. The Power Star has now stepped in the shoes of Bheemla Nayak for the official Tollywood remake of popular Malayalam movie 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' which was released last year. 

Apart from Pawan Kalyan, the movie stars Rana Daggubati and Nithya Menen in prominent roles. Titled 'Production No. 12' earlier, the multi-starrer movie has now been given the title 'Bheemla Nayak'. Directed by Saagar K Chandra, the movie will release in theatres on January 12, 2022.

The makers have now released the first glimpse of Pawan Kalyan's role 'Bheemla Nayak' as Independence day special. The powerstar, who can be seen in a mass avatar, challenging Danny aka Daniel Shankar in his trademark style. The BGM adds to the hype and takes the teaser to another level.

Ace director Trivikram Srinivas has penned screenplay and dialogues of the film. SS Thaman has rendered the sound tracks and Sithara Entertainments is bankrolling this movie. 

'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' starred Biju Menon as Ayyappan Nair, a policeman and Prithviraj as Koshy Kurian, a retired army havildar. While Pawan Kalyan will be reprise the role of Ayyappan Nair, Rana Daggubati will be seen in the role of Prithviraj.
