The film industry is completely left shocked and shattered after the news of popular actor Nedumudi Venu who predominantly worked in Malayalam and Tamil, passed away today on October 11 flashed on the screens.
According to reports, the actor had developed uneasiness and difficulties in breathing on Sunday (October 10), after which he was rushed to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
For the unversed, the 73-year-old actor had recovered from Covid-19 recently. And his sudden death has left a great void that is irreplaceable in the film industry. Resul Pookutty took to his social media and penned, “Dear Venuchettan… you were family to me…heartbroken! I can’t find words to express to describe your loss…. You will be missed as long as Malayalam cinema exist… May your soul find eternal peace…Pranams.”
Nedumudi Venu who has acted in more than 500 films in Malayalam and Tamil, has won three National Film Awards and six Kerala State Film Awards for his impeccable performances. He has acted in Tamil films like Mogamul, Indian, Anniyan, Poi Solla Porom, Silambaattam, Sarvam Thaala Mayam and will also be seen in a prominent role in Indian 2.
