Actress Revathi ruled the 80s and 90s with her successful stint across languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi cinema. The actress is successful not just as an actor but as well as a director, voice actor and a playback singer. Today, (October 7) Bollywood actress Kajol, who has also acted in Tamil films, announced that she is a part of 'The Last Hurrah', a new film which is being directed by the veteran actor.
Kajol shared a picture with Revathi and wrote, “So happy to announce my next film with the super awesome Revathi directing me.. called 'The Last Hurrah'. A heartwarming story that made me instantly say YES! Can I hear a “Yipppeee” please?”
Written by Sammeer Arora, the feature is inspired by a true story that chronicles the life of an exemplary mother, Sujata, who battled the most challenging situations one can ever face with a smile. The Last Hurrah is backed by Suuraj Sinngh and Shraddha Agrawal under the banner Blive Productions and Take 23 Studios Production.
Interestingly, it was Actress Revathi who dubbed for Kajol's Tamil debut film 'Minsara Kanavu' that starred herself, Arvind Swami and Prabhu Deva in lead roles. Kajol was last seen in the Netflix family drama 'Tribhanga: Tedhi Medhi Crazy' with Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar. Meanwhile Revathi was last seen in the short 'Edhiri' directed by Bejoy Nambiar in the nine-part Netflix anthology 'Navarasa'.
