It's been ten days since Bigg Boss Tamil season 5 started and the initial enthusiasm around the house has started to come down with the competition and emotions getting intense around the house. It was only a few days back that the nomination process to evict a housemate from BB 5 for this week took place. Since then, many have been playing the game seriously.
This week saw a lot of love around fathers with several housemates mentioning their fathers as the reason behind the success and their heights in life. Priyanka Deshpande, Akshara Reddy and many others came forward to talk about how their fathers played an influential role in their lives. Speaking along the same lines, Abishek Raaja stepped on the stage to talk about his untold story.
Stating that his father was his 'universe', Abishek said he had learnt everything from him and that he was the sole reason he came up to this level in life. My father is a classic example to quote that everything in life won't happen the way we want it to. In 2016, my father sold a huge building that he built with his heard-earned money and sold it to give it to his driver of 18 years. The man died a few years later and our family came to the roads. My father's health started deteriorating and he tried everything in his power to finish off the loan, but couldn't. Meanwhile, my marriage started breaking down," he said.
Continuing, he said, "I still live with the guilt that it is because of me that my father isn't alive today. If I hadn't gotten into a marriage or if I hadn't been a bad person, I could've saved him somehow. He helped a lot of people and gave a lot of money to people in need. Without us knowing, he helped with the education for 15 kids for 15 years. Within two years, I did several odd jobs and took out the documents for the building that my dad sold." He finished his story by saying that he will rise up no matter how hard he's beaten down.
After the speech, Raju Jeyamohan and Imman Annachi were talking about how engaging Abishek's story was and how they were pulled into it instantly. Following Abishek's story, Thamarai Selvi stepped up to talk about her life. The drama artist spoke about how her mother toiled in the field to feed her five children. "My mother had a meagre salary of Rs 12. She wouldn't eat, but she would make sure that we had food to eat everyday. Our dream would be to eat good food everyday. Only after I went to work on stage, our family situation became a little better."
Thamarai also spoke about how she had to come out of her house to save her sons. Speaking about her marital issues and her split with her children, she said she came to Bigg Boss only for them and that she wishes to see them soon. When Thamarai was inconsolable, the other housemates helped her to finish her story and assured her that she would see her son soon.
The third speak about his life in 'Oru Kadha Sollatuma' was Actor Varun. The actor said he was the grandson of popular late comedian Isari Velan who was also a former Member of Legislative Assembly in the state government of M. G. Ramachandran. Varun noted that he wanted to break the perspective that he was born with a golden spoon and said that he too had faced his fair share of struggles in life by playing many small uncredited roles in movies. He mentioned that he keeps learning everyday and will do so till his death.
