Dulquer Salmaan will be essaying the controversial figure Sukumara Kurup in the forthcoming gangster biopic Kurup. Co-starring Sunny Wayne, Indrajith Sukumaran in important roles, Ponniyin Selvan actress Sobhita Dhulipala will be playing the female lead.
Directed by Srinath Rajendran, Kurup marks the second collaboration between Dulquer Salmaan and Srinath after the actor's 2012 debut Second Show. The makers had recently completed the shoot of the film and Dulquer Salmaan wrote an emotional post, in which he acknowledged the contribution of his co-actors and crew members of the film.
Kurup is jointly produced by Dulquer's own Wayfarer Films, in association with M Star Entertainments. The actor's previous production, the Anoop Sathyan-directed Varane Avashyamund has officially collected over 25 crores worldwide.
Dulquer will also be seen in director Desingh Periyasamy's upcoming film Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, which is set to release on February 28.
