Well-known anchor Diya Menon has expressed an opinion that she doesn’t think VJ Chitra would have died by suicide. Diya said that she has always known Chitra to be a happy girl. She also made a request to people to not call her death a suicide. Diya appealed to people to take Chitra as a role model and be inspired.
Diya further said that everyone should remember Chitra as a happy soul and shouldn’t say things like she was a coward or was suffering from depression. Diya added that while she doesn’t know what happened in the last moments of Chitra’s life, she was otherwise known to be a rather bold girl.
VJ Chitra was found to have hung herself in a hotel room in Chennai’s Nazrethpet. The incident is said to have happened in the wee hours of Wednesday, plunging scores of her friends, fans and family members into despair.
Her post-mortem just concluded at the Kilpauk Medical College and her mortal remains were handed over to the family for the last rites.
Chitra's husband Hemanth is being questioned by the cops for the second consecutive day today.
