The Tamil Nadu Distributors Association had an important meeting this morning, 11th April to make some decisions regarding film distribution and trade practices.
At the end of the meeting, the committee has firmed up their decision on not to buy any movie on MG (Minimum Guarantee) basis in Tamil Nadu. Only through outrate or normal distribution, film business will happen. Many distributors have shared their opinion on the same during various occasions, and this decision would've come as a happy news for all of them.
The practice of buying a film on MG basis has been a practice for a decade now, and the impact of the new decision made by Distributors Federation on the business of the biggies will be a key observation in next few months.
