Director Susi Ganesan's Thiruttu Payale 2 first look poster featured Bobby Simha kissing Amala Paul, which created a curiosity among the audience. The poster went on to become viral, and the teaser of the film was also well received.

Talking about the first look poster, director Susi, in an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, said, "Lip lock scenes in cinema has become very normal these days.  When I entered the industry, those lip lock scenes were considered as a crime. I am very much surprised to know that the first look poster created a curiosity and a sensation among the audience. I thought Tamil cinema has gone to the next level, being very open about certain things.

But, after seeing the reception for the poster, I feel, there is still a certain amount of conservativeness here. Many people are claiming that the poster is very glamorous. To be frank, I am searching for the glamour quotient in the poster. I seriously do not know. However, as a filmmaker, I am happy to know that there is a curiosity for people after watching the poster and teaser."
