Director Shankar, touted to be one of Indian cinema's important filmmakers in recent times, had recently heaped praise on director Halitha Shameem's recent anthology Sillu Karuppatti.
In his tweet, Shankar called Sillu Karuppatti a 'cute, meaningful and fresh' film. The writer-director had also praised the director, producer and technicians for being part of the film.The director had also called the short films as 'Unforgettable poetry'.
On the work front, Shankar is currently wielding the megaphone for the upcoming magnum opus Indian 2, sequel to the director's 1996 film Indian. In the sequel, Kamal Haasan will be playing the role of a vigilante, while the additional cast includes Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar mong others.
Sillu Karuppatti starred Samuthirakani, Sunaina, Leela Samson, Krav Maga Sriram and others in principal roles. Currently running in theatres, the romantic anthology is produced by Venkatesh Velineni.
