Director Ranjit Jeyakodi’s debut film was the recently released Puriyaatha Pudhir starring actor Vijay Sethupathi. The film was a thriller with romance woven in and had released after a long gap. In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Ranjit spoke about Vijay Sethupathi’s dedication. He said:

“In my film Puriyaatha Puthir, there is a scene where the protagonist stands nude within a rain coat. The scene had to be shot on a bridge with rain effect. When I narrated it to Vijay Sethupathi, he was ready to do it. He told me that it is true heroism as it was required by that scene. As we had planned, Vijay Sethupathi acted almost nude with just 10 percent clothing for that particular scene.”
