Popular director P Vasu was in the news from yesterday for a strangely shocking reason - shocking because it was about his death and strange because it was completely false.

Social media sites were abuzz with the news, leading to a considerable section of the public believing it to be true. And to quash the news as fake, came the director himself, with a video.

In the video, he states: "I got to know about this rumour myself - it came to me on WhatsApp. And I laughed, because I had just completed a 6-kilometre walk in the gym and come home (laughs). I don't know what to say, I can only laugh. But to know that there are these many people who have love and affection for me makes me happy, and I thank them. 

I am fine, very fine, and very healthy. I am going to direct 3 films this year. I thank all of you again."
