Director Pa.Ranjith had recently given an open statement at a gathering post the discussions regarding the requirement of NEET exams that propped up after Anitha’s death. He had asked the people to acknowledge and agree to a particular view of his and a few celebrities did not seem to be supportive of his view.

However, director CS Amudhan had tweeted saying Pa.Ranjith just wanted the people to acknowledge the existence of a particular exploitation. CS Amudhan’s tweet that supported Pa. Ranjith’s views had the words, “Pa.Ranjith's agenda is not even controversial, he is just asking us to acknowledge the existence of the exploitative manu dharmam.”
