Pavni Reddy, who entered the house as the eighth contestant of Bigg Boss Tamil 5 house, spoke about how she lost her husband in a vlog that she recorded before coming into Bigg Boss Tamil 5. Pavni lost her husband to suicide merely four years after their marriage. Her husband Pradeep was also a popular serial actor. Pavni said that she was devastated after her husband's death and added that her husband's family fully supported her in the time of crisis.
Although Pavni mentioned about her husband a few times in the first week of the show, the 17 contestants only got to know the full story when she narrated the ordeal that she went through on friday's episode (October 8). The actress spoke about her relationship with Pradeep, her late husband and elaborated about the marriage that she had with him.
Narrating her ordeal, Pavni also said she was framed for her husband's death and that she was struggling to cope with the grief. The actress also mentioned that she was in a relationship a few years after the incident and her family arranged for a marriage with the person. "Unfortunately, it didn't work out. Enaku kadaisi varaikum thaniya dhan irukanum nu ezhuthi vechuchuruku pola (I think I am destined to be alone for the rest of my life)," she said. Following the episode, many on social media speculated that she remarried post her husband's death and then got separated.
Rubbishing all the rumours, Pavni's sister Sindhu took to Pavni's instagram page and issued a statement saying, "Not everything you hear on media is true.". In the detailed note, she wrote,"Pavni never married after the untimely demise of her husband #pradeepkumar whom she loved immensely and will never forget his presence in her life. The years spent with him will always be cherished by her."
Speaking about her later relationship, Pavni's sister said, "She was in a relationship though after this incident. As a family we had plans of getting her remarried but things didn't work well between them and they parted ways amicably with mutual understanding."
"She's handled all the controversies surrounding her late husband's death and her later relationship and break up with dignity for the past four years and came out stronger as a person. She has put all these behind her and is looking forward to building her career," she added and also noted that she expects all media personnel, fans and well wishers to respect her privacy and continue to support her throughout the journey.
