Actor Dhruv Vikram played the titular protagonist in director Gireesaaya's Tamil adaptation of the Telugu cult hit, Arjun Reddy. Co-starring Banita Sandhu, Priya Anand, Anbu Thasan and others in central roles, the romantic drama is produced by Mukesh R. Mehta under the banner E4 Entertainment.
The actor portrayal of an alcoholic doctor grappling with a failed romance was praised by critics and audiences alike. Released on November 22, the film is being warmly received by audiences.
In a recent press interaction, Dhruv Vikram took the opportunity to thank the cast and crew behind the film. The actor started off by thanking his personal assistants for taking care of him since childhood, and revealed that one of them played a role in the film.
Apart from acknowledging the cast and crew, Dhruv reserved high praise for his father and Tamil superstar Vikram, who guided Dhruv throughout the making of the film. He said "Actually, Appa talks to me about the film but doesn't show me the footage (of the film), since he wanted to spring a surprise. He even shows them to my gym trainer and doesn't talk much to me about the film."
Dhruv also said that Vikram also co-wrote the dialogues for the film along with Rajashekar (Vikram later added that his 'Sketch' co-actor Vinoth chipped in with the comedy lines). Dhruv added that "Had my father been launched like me in his initial days, he would have been on another level. He would have been the talk of the town."
