Karthik Subbaraj's upcoming gangster-thriller D40 stars Dhanush as lead while Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, James Cosmo, Kalaiyarasan, Sanchana Natarajan, Ashwanth Ashokkumar in major roles. The film is produced by YNot Studios.
Recently, the official social media page of YNot Studios have announced that the team is currently preparing for the final three days of shoot, which is said to commence on February 6. The date for the first look release will be revealed upon completion of the shoot (February 9).
Reportedly titled Suruli, D40 is shot in locations across England and Tamil Nadu. The film is shot by Shreeyas Krishna while Vivek Harshan handles the editing department. Dhanush sports two distinct looks, a bearded look and rustic village look with a handlebar moustache.
On the work front, Dhanush will be featuring in Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re, Sun Pictures production D44 and Mari Selvaraj's Karnan.
