Actress Deepika Padukone will be on the jury at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

Deepika Padukone, who started her film career with the Kannada film Aishwarya, rose to fame in 2007 with the Hindi film Om Shanti Om pairing up with Shah Rukh Khan. Later, she reached the pinnacle of stardom through Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and the late Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's Piku, Ranbir Kapoor with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tamasha. Deepika Padukone also starred in the Hollywood movie XXX: Return of Xander Cage.

The jury consists of five men and four women who are world cinema celebrities, and these 9 will select the winners of this year's Palme d'Or Awards. Deepika Padukone has been attending the Cannes Film Festival since 2017.
The 75th Cannes Film Festival Jury will be chaired by French actor Vincent London. The jury includes Deepika, who will be joined by the likes of Rebecca Hall, Asghar Farhadi, Jeff Nichols, Ladj Ly and Joachim Trier. This year's winners will be officially announced by the panel of judges at a ceremony in Cannes on May 28.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone last starred in Shakun Batra's Gehraiyaan, before which she starred opposite her husband Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan's 83. He is currently co-starring with Hrithik Roshan in Fighter and Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. Pathan is set to release in January 2023.
