Cook with Comali was the show that catapulted actor Pugazh's fame worldwide. Post the same, he starred in a number of films including Santhanam's Sabapathy, Ajith Kumar's Valimai, Suriya's Etharkum Thuninthavan and the like.

Pugazh, who has appeared in movies in small roles, will be starring in the lead role in his upcoming movie. The film is titled "Mr Zoo Keeper" and will be directed by J Suresh. Also, Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the music for the film. The film will star Shirin Kanchwala as the heroine. She last played one of the heroines in the upcoming film 'Dikkilona' starring Santhanam.
The poster for the film was released during the Cook With Comali show. Fellow contestants and judges at the event all expressed their appreciation and congratulations for Pugazh.
