One of the most critically and commercially acclaimed films of 2018, Vada Chennai, was written, directed by Vetrimaaran and featured an ensemble cast that included Dhanush, Aishwarya Rajesh, Andreah, Samuthirakani, Kishore, Daniel Balaji and others in pivotal roles. The movie was praised for its detailed depiction of gangster milieu.
The film's sequels were planned in advance and there were news reports circulating that the plans have been shelved due to various reasons that also included the artists’ clash of dates and there were also rumours that the people of North Chennai were not happy with the way their lifestyles were portrayed.
However, putting the rumours to rest, the film's lead actor, Dhanush, has taken to his social media and posted in his official Twitter account that the sequel idea is very much alive and has also advised to not believe in false reports. Check out the tweet here -
Meanwhile, the actor is currently gearing up for the release of his long-delayed film, Enai Nokki Paayum Thota which is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and features Megha Akash and Sasikumar in lead roles. The film is all set to hit the screens on July 26.
