Popular singer and voice artist Chinmayi was removed from the South Indian Artistes and Dubbing Artistes Union in 2018, following which she had clarified on allegations that she had paid her life-time membership fee to the body.
Post which, the actress lent her voice only for the Tamil dubbed version of the Telugu movie Oh Baby and the recent Sivakarthikeyan starrer 'Hero', for the female lead Kalyani Priyadarshan. And now, Chinmayi has filed a nomination, contesting against Radha Ravi in the dubbing union elections.
Chinmayi had received an ad interim stay injunction from the court, which protects the interest of the plaintiff until the interim injunction is decided. Chinmayi explained further on this decision she has made, which can be seen in the video, below:
