Gautham Karthik's Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu, directed by Santhosh P Jayakumar, was a hit venture at the box office that was enjoyed among the youth audience for its adult humour and the content.
The film was announced to be remade in Telugu after its success in the Tamil version and it was also added that Santhosh will be directing the remake. The film was titled as Chikati Gadilo Chithakotudu.
Inithu Inithu and Thangamagan fame Adith Arun plays the lead, reprising Gautham Karthik's role. Nikki Tamboli, Posani Murali Krishna, Raghu Babu, Sathyam Rajesh, ‘Thagubothu’ Ramesh, Mirchi Hemanth, ‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran, Bhagyashree Mote, are also part of the cast.
Bankrolled by Blue Ghost Pictures, the technical team consists of the same people who worked in IAMK, Balamurali Balu (music), Ballu (cinematography) and Prasanna G.K (editing).
