It was earlier reported that Mani Ratnam's upcoming multi-starrer film titled Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is now planned for a September 28th release.

With just over a month and a half left for the release of CCV,  we can expect the makers to release the songs and the trailer of the film very soon.

All Mani Ratnam's recent film promotions start with a 20-sec glimpse video followed by a single release, then the album and finally a trailer. Will CCV follow a similar template?

Though AR Rahman is busy working in multiple projects, he hasn't had a Tamil album release this year. In fact, the only, ARR album that released this year is Beyond The Clouds (Hindi). So CCV might very well be AR Rahman's first Tamil album of the year.

It is said that AR Rahman reserves his best for Mani Ratnam. He has received 3 of his 6 National Awards for Mani Ratnam movies. This combo is yet to deliver a mediocre album. So let's see what this magical combo has in stores for us this time.
