Payel Chakraborty is an upcoming Bengali actress who has acted in a few Bengali serials and also a couple of films. Her upcoming film Kelo is all set to release on 18th September. The actress had also appeared in Cockpit that had Dev in the lead role. 
 

Reports suggest, she had checked into a hotel in Siliguri, West Bengal and was supposed to checkout yesterday (September 5) morning. Since she didn't respond after repeated knocks on the door, the hotel management called up the police and found her dead.

The investigation is on, and the preliminary evidence allegedly suggests that it is a suicide. The police reportedly informed that she is survived by a son, and was recently divorced. Her family in Kolkata have been notified about the sad incident.
