Debut director Arun Prabu Purushothaman's Aruvi, starring newcomer Aditi Balan in the lead role, is making merry at the Chennai box office.
 

According to Behindwoods Chennai box office analysis wing, Aruvi has collected around Rs 72.21 lakh in its opening weekend and has got a good opening. Aruvi opened up with very minimal show counts in side screens on its first day, but gradually, due to the extensively high positive word of mouth, and critical acclaim, the public's support increased and as a result, the film was moved to big screens with more shows, from its second day.

Aruvi is yet another example from Tamil cinema to show that strong content always speaks up. We'd have to wait until next weekend to know about Aruvi's box office verdict.
