Music maestro AR Rahman has been ruling the music industry as well our hearts for several years now. Earlier, he surprised us by donning the producer’s and the writer’s shoes for ’99 Songs’ under the YM Movies banner, in association with Jio Studios.
The film was based on a young and a passionate love story with music as its soul and was directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy. 99 Songs is available on Netflix. ‘99 Songs’ features debutants Ehan, Edilsy Varghese and Tenzin Dalha. The film also features Lisa Ray, Manisha Koirala, composer-drummer Ranjit Barot and Indian Ocean’s Rahul Ram in supporting roles.
Rahman just took to Twitter and announced the BAFTA Breakthrough India participants. He wrote -

On the work front, Rahman has a plethora of projects in hand including Sivakarthikeyan’s Ayalaan, Vikram’s Cobra, Prithviraj’s Aadujeevitham, STR’s Pathu Thala, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan and more.
