Actress Aparna Balamurali, who was last seen in the movie ‘Jeem Boom Bhaa’ is currently gearing up for her next film ‘Soorarai Pottru’, which stars Suriya as the lead. The biggie is directed by Sudha Kongara of Irudhi Suttru fame.
Meanwhile, in an exclusive E-interview with Behindwoods, Aparna shared some interesting incidents from her auditions and her fanboy moments with Suriya. Recalling about her movie, ‘Maheshinte Prathikaaram’ she said “I didn’t know much about the director. I didn’t know how big the stars were, as I am not from a movie background. I just worked and had fun on the sets. It was a memorable experience.”
Speaking about the much-awaited ‘Soorarai Pottru’, she said “When I went for the audition, I didn’t know it was Suriya sir’s movie. I knew it was Sudha ma’am’s movie and I was in awe of her after watching ‘Irudhi Suttru’. When I saw the poster with Suriya sir’s photo, it was amazing, Of course, I didn’t go and ask Sudha ma’am as I didn’t want to show myself as an over-excited girl.”
Recalling about her shooting days with Suriya, she said “I was in 2nd grade when his ‘Kaakha Kaakha released. I have always been a big fan of him and I like him a lot. To work with him now is indeed amazing.”
‘Soorarai Pottru’ stars Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in lead roles, while Dr.M Mohan Babu, Paresh Rawal, Urvashi, Karunas, Vivek Prasanna and Kaali Venkat play crucial roles.
