Popular television news reader Anitha Sampath recently revealed that she shot for Thalapathy Vijay's Sarkar, directed by A.R.Murugadoss. In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Anitha shared her experience about working in this biggie.
"I was informed only a day before the shoot and I instantly got excited and happy, because it was a big film indeed. I already met Vijay sir three months back, before this shoot, when they came to our office, to shoot some other scenes from the movie. At that time, I never thought that I would be doing this news sequence.
Murugadoss sir came and he handed over the news reading script to me after I got ready with my costumes and make up. We completely finished the news reading sequence in a short time and the whole team were surprised.
We started to film around 6 in the evening, and the team had thought that the shoot would go up to 10.30 or 11 in the night, but I was able to complete it in a much shorter time, and we wrapped that with just one single take. The whole team was very happy about it.
In fact, a few days back before Sarkar, I even shot for Bala sir's Varma, which is the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy. It was a much lengthier script, compared to Sarkar, and it was a great experience shooting for that film too. Bala sir appreciated my work and my pronounciation of Tamil words.", shared Anitha.
