National Award winner Akshay Kumar met PM Modi at Delhi yesterday to talk about his upcoming film ‘Toilet- Ek Prem Katha’.
Akshay Kumar in his twitter account posted a photo which featured both him and the PM. He tweeted, “Met PM @narendramodi and got the opportunity to tell him about my upcoming 'Toilet-Ek Prem Katha.' His smile at just the title made my day!”.
Akshay Kumar who recently won the National Award for his performance in Rustom is all set to create meaningful impact through his socio-drama film 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'. The makers of the film in one of their interviews to a popular daily revealed that the idea of Swachh Bharat did not lead to the film but this film’s script had started much before Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign. The makers also revealed that an extensive research had been done while writing the script and the movie is sure to hit hard in terms of showcasing the ground reality of such issues faced in many rural parts of India even today.
Apart from Akshay Kumar, ‘Toilet: EK Prem Katha’ also features Bhumi Pednekar in the lead and the movie is scheduled for a August 2017 release.
