The custodial death of shop-owner Jayaraj and his son Emmanuel Bennis, has sparked a huge controversy on the actions of police officials. While some officers go through many trials and tribulations to perform their duty in saving the people from imminent dangers, incidents such as the Sathankulam tragedy brings disgrace to the whole department.
In the wake of details about the death, the whole country has questioned the right of the police, the conduct of the sub-inspectors and all officials present at the police station during the incident as well as that of Sathankulam Judicial Magistrate B Saravanan.
Now, actress Sanam Shetty have taken up matters in her own hands with a legal touch. Yes, in a post on her official Instagram handle, the actress has shared screenshot of the action she has taken against the officers responsible for the death of Jayaraj and Bennicks.
She has stated: "I have officially registered my complaint against the accused police officers in the Jeyraj and Bennicks case (the name was wrongly mentioned earlier by the press now corrected) with the Human Rights Commission of India. Dear friends I request all of you to raise the complaint which will certainly increase chances for effective action in the issue."
