Actress and former contestant of the successful Tamil reality show Bigg Boss 3, Madhumitha, was recently evicted from the show due to a self-inflicted injury, which happened during a heated argument between Madhumitha and fellow contestants.
In a recent press meet organized by Madhumitha, she breaks her silence on what happened in the show that lead to her abrupt eviction. She said that during the episode that was canned on Independence Day, she had recited a poem about the state's water scarcity, in which she questioned whether lord Varuna belongs to Karnataka since he doesn't offer any water to Tamil Nadu.
She claimed that the above comment was blown out of proportions and the makers tried to add political connotations to it. Madhumitha also alleged that the 'eight people'' were responsible for that, but she refused to disclose on the names of the eight people.
She said that these incidents lead to a warning from the makers, saying that such political statements won't be entertained. She added that after the issue, it became a cakewalk for the contestants to mock her "After that, what happened to me was gang-ragging and harassment. Kasturi ma'am was supporting me throughout the issue.
In the end, my psyche was completely devastated, and unknowingly, I cut my hand and spoke to the eight people. Even at that time, some of the eight people were laughing at me. The only voices I heard were that of Cheran and Kasturi, who were shocked, asking 'Don't you care for the value of life'"
