Actor Soundara Raja, who was seen in pivotal roles in films like Jigarthanda, Sundarapandian, recollected about his experiences working with Vijay in Theri, during an exclusive interview with Behindwoods.
He said, "Atlee called me and asked if I would be interested to do a small role in the film, and I immediately left to the shooting spot. The shoot started and that was the time I first saw Vijay sir on the shooting spot. I am basically an Ajith fan. My portions were shot in the nights, and for the first two days, I would want to speak to him, but something would stop me. He also didn't recognize me properly. I was actually disappointed.
The third day, I decided to go up and speak to him. I went and introduced myself as Soundara Raja, of Jigarthanda fame. He was so humble enough, not just to greet me, but also apologized me. He apologized to me saying that he couldn't see me properly due to the night time and less availability of lights. It was so kind of him to apologize. He is a superstar and he didn't have to do it, but he actually did."
