Karthi's latest Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru has been doing very well in theatres, and as with all things good, the film has been hit by a little stroke of criticism as well.

In a recent press statement by Dream Warrior Pictures, the production house behind the film, the makers announced:

Theeran is a film only about the various dacoities that occurred in the states of India. It does not depict any single clan in a bad light. No community exists and thrives based on murder and robbery. Still, since a section of the people has taken offense, we, on behalf of the Theeran team, apologize and regret this issue. Television or internet broadcasts of the film in the future will feature neither the word "Kuttrapparambarai" nor the scene with the 'book'.
