The Tamil film industry has seen dramatic changes over the years. New genres, technologies have been introduced, and everything gets modernized. Though the modernization has come in many forms, going to theatre and theatre experience can never be replaced.
However, during this COVID curfew times, this experience was vastly missed by many moviebuffs. That's when these OTT platforms gained prominence and gained the love of masses. Though OTT releases could never satisfy the needs of theatre-buffs, it gave a window for new films to reach the audience.
