Kane Tanaka, the world's oldest woman, has died at the age of 119.

Birth

Kane hails from the Fukuoka region of southwestern Japan. She was born on January 2, 1903. In the same year the Wright brothers flew the first self-designed aircraft. It was also the same year that Marie Curie won the Nobel Prize and set the record. Kane, who was a bridge connecting historic achievements with the present, now died of old age.

Kane has run a noodle shop and a cake shop since she was a teenager. Kane married Hedio Tanaka in 1922. The couple had 4 children. She adopted a fifth child.

Guinness World Record

In 2019, Guinness World Records declared Kane the oldest living person in the world. "Just now," Kane said when asked what the best moment of your life was. Kane, wakes up at 6 a.m. daily, can read the accounts at noon. She also excels in the classics of beautiful calligraphy. She was very fond of chocolates and was very much interested in sports, also excels at board games.

The oldest person in the world

Historically, Jeanne Calment of France was considered the world's oldest living person. She was 122 years and 164 days old when she died in 1997. The oldest living person on earth after that is the now deceased Kane Tanaka of Japan.

Hattori, the Governor of the Fukuoka region, mourned her death. Kane, known as the world's oldest living woman, has died of old age, leaving many in mourning.
