The organization, which awards certificates to those who have achieved such a feat, has made their name featured in the prestigious Guinness Book of Records. The Guinness Book of World Records honors those who excel in various fields around the world. Due to this, the Guinness Book of World Records is considered one of the most widely read books in the world.

Venezuela's Juan Vicente Mora celebrates his 113th birthday today (May 27). Juan Vicente Mora was born in 1909 in El Cobra, Venezuela, the ninth child of Perez Mora and Edelmira Mora. Juan, from a farming family, became a sheriff at the age of 34.

Juan's family, who grew sugarcane and coffee locally, had a strong interest in agriculture. So Juan later became involved in agriculture. Juan continued to farm until he was 104, after which he announced his retirement.

Marriage

In 1937, Juan met a woman named Ethiopina del Rosario Garcia. She fell in love with him and got married. The couple had a total of 11 children. Garcia died in 1997. That's the worst part of his life, says Juan. He currently has 41 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Juan, who is a regular coffee drinker, says he prefers to spend more time with family. In this case, the locals are meeting and congratulating Juan on his birthday, the oldest person in the world.
