Russia using trained military dolphins to protect warships - Shocking Details!
Home > News Shots > World newsThe United States' announcement that Russia has launched a new effort to protect its Black Sea Fleet has caused a stir around the world.
Sevastopol is the most important naval base of the Russian Navy in the Black Sea. The port is located in the southern tip of Crimea, which was annexed by Moscow in 2014. Therefore, Russia gives extra security and importance to this. The United States has said Russia is using two dolphins trained in the port for espionage.
A report by the United States Naval Institute (USNI) states that Russia has two military dolphins trained at the Sevastopol naval base in the Black Sea.
Neighboring Russia has strongly opposed Ukraine's desire to join the European Union. Then, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered special military operations in Ukraine. Following this, about 1.5 million troops concentrated in Belarus entered Ukraine and launched an offensive. Meanwhile, reports that Sevastopol has two trained military dolphins at a naval base near Ukraine and Russia have caused a stir.
Russia has been accused of using dolphins for military operations since the Cold War. Meanwhile, the USNI has accused the Russian military of using dolphins again for espionage amid the war with Ukraine. The group also said it was using whales and water dogs, known as beluga, to spy on the Black Sea. The organization has also released satellite photos of the event.
The United States' claim that Russia is currently using dolphins for reconnaissance has caused a stir, with Russia being accused of over-deploying warships in the Black Sea in the midst of the Ukraine war.
